Over the weekend, legal practitioners from firms of all sizes and practice areas gathered at the Homebush Novotel in Sydney’s west for the 10th annual Brothers and Sisters in Law (BASIL) Legal Education Conference. As proud sponsors for the second year running, elaw had the chance to engage with lawyers from all walks of life, from regional and urban areas around the state, to discuss our area of expertise – legal technology.

The conference offered 8 hours of legal education (8 CPD points), proudly sponsored by leading industry service providers including elaw. Representatives from elaw were on hand and invited to introduce speakers, provide elaw conference bags and assist the 125 registered practitioners who attended the conference.

Attendees were treated to informative and entertaining talks by 12 high quality speakers, including the Hon. Justice Angus Talbot.

BASIL CEO Charles Amos expressed his gratitude for elaw’s sponsorship, which translates to lower fees for BASIL members to attend the conference and obtain their annual mandatory CPD points.

“At the same time, elaw is educating members on the capabilities of engaging new technology to improve the productivity of their practices,” he said.
